Digital Fabrication Challenge @Fabdulys

In winter 2021 we tested the Digital Fabrication Challenge at the Fabdulys Fablab. The challenge was created by Vectorealism as part of their work on the project intellectual outputs and it’s about enginnering a diy solution to waste disposal.

Participants worked on designing a waste disposal solution, used CAD softwares to do so and later materliazed their products via a mini engraving machine that we made available at the Fabdulys facilities.

The young participants were able to test the results of their work and brainstorm avenues for improvement. It was a rich experience around digital fabrication but also cicular economy and sustainability. One of the ideas that was materliazed by the participants was a disposal container for used batteries
